Pausing ULEZ expansion will provide time for fairer, economically viable alternatives to emerge, such as improved public transportation and incentives for eco-friendly vehicles. This approach considers the broader socio-economic impact, fostering a smoother transition to cleaner air without unduly straining already hard pushed communities.
I want to see London's air quality improve, but I do not think it is right for the cost to be passed on to those who cannot afford it.
